UNCONDITIONAL LOVE - with these two words, I can describe what being a mother means to me. I always had the desire to be a mother. Thank God, He blessed me with that gift. It wasn't easy. Just when we were ready to start the evaluation process to figure out why I wasn't getting pregnant, I received the news that I was going to be a mom. There are no words to describe that moment. How grateful I was to the Lord.

Then, I had the desire for it to be a boy and so it was, God gave me a boy. I still remember that day, his beautiful little face, the long nights... but I was happy. He was my greatest treasure, my prince of peace. Two years later, our second son was born, beautiful, hairy, and sleepy, the free-spirited one. They are so different, yet so wonderful.

They have taught me to give and receive that unconditional love. When you're a mother, "buts" don't exist, you overcome fatigue, you feel like you have superpowers, nothing we do is a sacrifice, it's pure love, you do so many things for them that you might not otherwise do. An example of this is éBoutiké, because the idea came about when I decided to work for myself to be able to take care of them in their early years and contribute to their education.

That's why they say there's no love like a mother's love. In life, you face difficult situations, sometimes you suffer injustices, bad moments, and sometimes you let them pass, but not with your children, not with them, we do whatever it takes to defend and protect them. Only us moms know that.

Each stage in a child's life comes with new challenges and experiences, but each one of them is beautiful. It's been 21 years since the first day I became a mom, my children are now university students, and I live so grateful to the Lord for giving me the best gift, them, Andrés David and Fabián Alejandro, the ones who call me MOM.

That's why today I can say that being a mother is UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.
